SUMMARY:Sea to Shining Sea Gala: Celebrating America's First Lighthouse Museum
DESCRIPTION:  \nThis year’s Gala\, Sea to Shining Sea: Celebrating America’s First Lighthouse Museum\, will support the mission of the Stonington Historical Society (SHS). SHS’s mission is to Preserve\, Interpret\, and Celebrate the History of All of Stonington. SHS owns and maintains five historic properties including two museums and a historic research library. We strive to inspire you with new programs\, exhibits\, and collaborations\, including a new Rollie McKenna exhibit at the Woolworth Library and a growing collaboration with the National Park Service to rediscover the Battle of Stonington. We welcome you to share and support these efforts by attending our annual gala. This year the Gala takes place on June 29th. The event will feature live music\, cocktails and dinner\, and lots of dancing on the grounds of the Old Lighthouse Museum at Stonington Point\, overlooking both Little Narragansett Bay and Fishers Island Sound.
