Seeing Slavery – a presentation and discussion

Professor Martha Cutter of the University of Connecticut presents her latest book, The Illustrated Slave. Cutter’s work explores the impact that graphic depictions of slavery, as opposed to text alone, had on the abolitionist movement during the first half of the 1800s.
