Scratch Overwinters at the Boatyard

Up two bends from the sea on a river yet salty lived a cat named Scratch and her friend Josh. Their place was at a boatyard where people could take care of their own old, wooden boats. Scratch had been born at the edge of the boatyard and grew to know Josh who kept his boat Prudence there. During that summer and into the fall they had become friends with the people and the creatures around them. Like Josh, Scratch had many jobs around the Yard. The question people often asked was: What happens to the Boatyard in winter? Josh wondered too.
