One of a pair of onyx earrings that belonged to Na One of a pair of onyx earrings that belonged to Nancy Lord Palmer (1813-1897). Nancy was one of Captain Nathaniel Brown Palmer's younger sisters. She married Charles Thompson Stanton in 1836, and they went on to have eight children together, including two sets of twins. These earrings were donated in 1950 by Mrs. Raynham Townshend of Watch Hill, great-niece of Nancy Lord Palmer.

This photograph, taken by Rollie McKenna in the mid 1960s, showcases the beauty of ordinary life in our seaside village.

The Stonington America 250 Committee would like to The Stonington America 250 Committee would like to thank local artist Abbie Park for her work on designing our logo for this year's celebrations. Abbie is a former sales and marketing executive in publishing who now works as a graphic designer and entrepreneur. She has collaborated with numerous local and national clients, including the Mystic Chamber of Commerce, Stonington Community Center, Fashion Daily Magazine, and Hachette Publishing.
