Lighthouse Ornament – Marsha York

A New England native, Marsha started painting in oil over twenty years ago with Robert Scott Jackson. In 1987 she experimented with pastels on sandpaper which resulted in works of vivid, brilliant and crisp colors. Her style veers from the traditional, giving a vibrant pointillistic result. Marsha has won numerous awards and her paintings can be seen in galleries around the world.  Marsha’s work is meticulously reproduced here “on the inside” of this glass using small brushes and hours of craftsmanship. Every piece is individually hand blown and hand painted. This form of artwork, known as Eglomise, has existed in China since 1802.
