While trying to earn money to help build the family lobster boat, young Tommy Hewitt is swept away on one adventure after another.

Harvey Fuller began his journey as an artist and illustrator in 1935 at age 17. Over the years he has painted murals, drawn comics, illustrated books, and done commercial art and sign lettering. At age 48 he began devoting more time to easel painting and he has since won numerous awards. Among his non-artistic jobs he was a deckhand on the Block Island ferry in the 1950s. His painting studio overlooked the Mystic River in Mystic, Connecticut.
